Team Nagua

I know, 2 posts in 1 day... astounding.  But, I wanted to let everyone know we arrived safely in Nagua with our team of 17 people (18 with Aubrey).  So far, God has laid the way and everything is going so smoothly (Gracias a Dios!!).  Tomorrow is our first day of camp in Jaguita and La Entrada (surrounding communities of Nagua) with an estimated 510 kids.  Again, please keep our team, the camp, the children, their coaches, the pastors and the communities in your prayers as we share the love of Jesus with them through sports camps.  I am including a picture of everyone on our team so you can pray for each of them:

The team gathered tonight after dinner.

  1. Occasionally I feel like God winks at us to remind us He is watching and ordering our footsteps. Call it the little affirmations that we don't really need, but underscore the personal nature of our savior, Jesus. As I read this blog I was reminded of the first AIM mission trip, before it was AIM, when a group of 18 from the U.S. travelled to put on camps in the DR. Funny how the first time AIM sends a group of Dominicans to somewhere in the DR as missionaries the team is again 18 people ;) It could have been any number, and I would still be thankful for His faithfulness, but because it was 18 I'm reminded that it's personal. Spend some personal time with our personal God. Blessings, Fred Billings
